The tale of Organic Fiji starts on a beautiful group of islands far, far away. The Fijian Islands are a group of tropical islands located in the South Pacific about 1100 miles Northwest of New Zealand. Bob Rogers, the founder of Organic Fiji, discovered the beauty of these islands in 2003 on a family vacation. While he was there he noticed how all the islanders had beautiful, healthy, glowing skin. Their secret was coconut oil. Certified Organic Cold Pressed Coconut Oil. He learned how they used it in their daily routines, beauty regimes, and in their diet too. Bob went on to find out that there was a coconut plantation in Fiji. The coconuts grown at this plantation were cold pressed to produce certified organic virgin coconut oil. The plantation also burned the coconut husks afterwards to provide a clean, sustainable and environmentally friendly source of energy for the plantation and the surrounding communities. This plantation not only produced a valuable ingredient that held so many benefits, but was also socially responsible for its working actions. 

Bob felt that the secret of the amazing coconut, its seemingly endless list of benefits in all aspects of life and the working methods of this coconut plantation were all too much of a treasure to keep to himself! He wanted to share it with the world! With this enthusiasm and passion Organic Fiji was born!

Organic Fiji was created with the vision that there could be skin care products on the market that were not only pure and organic, using natures tropical treasure as their key ingredient, but they could also be products that did not compromise performance. Organic Fiji products were to nourish and care for the skin like no other products on the market. And so it began...

 The products 

The first product to be made was the Organic Fiji Coconut Oil Soap. These were handmade by the Fijians using the coconut oil from the plantation. A unique 400-year-old traditional recipe was used to create this chemical free, organic face and body cleanser. The pure warmth and beauty of the Fijian people that Bob had experienced when he was there was delivered from their fingertips, through Organic Fijis products, and to the customer as they enjoyed the amazing benefits the products could offer. The soap was brought out to customers in several fragrances as well as the original fragrance free. 

Subsequent to this, Organic Fiji brought out their Nourishing Organic Lotions for face and body. It combines Certified Organic Coconut Oil with a blend of aromatic plant extracts and essential oils to help replenish and moisturize the face and body. It was felt to be the perfect compliment to the original Organic Fiji product, the coconut oil soap. The lotion was brought out in 12oz and 3oz sizes and in several fragrances, as well as the original fragrance free. 

Next, Organic Fiji considered bringing out a product that was more intense and versatile than the nourishing Lotion, and was the base of both of the current existing products. Pure Virgin Tropical Coconut Oil! There is no moisturizer on planet Earth more quenching than Certified Organic Coconut Oil. In its purest form, coconut oil is natures way of treating dry, irritated skin. As you cook you can enjoy the sounds of the Fijian guitar, presented in one of our Fijian music CDs. 

Organic Fiji now had something to cleanse the skin, and to moisturize the skin, but it wanted something to renew the skin, and make it feel more alive. An organic exfoliate was created using only the most pure of ingredients to benefit the body. Organic Fiji combined Organic Coconut Oil with Organic Cane Sugar to bring you a wondrous body exfoliate. The Sugar Scrub would not only eliminate dead skin cells with the sugar but it would also replenish and protect skin too with the coconut oil. The perfect sister scrub was created in the Body Polishes category. Organic Fijis Coral Sea Salt Scrub! Coral Sea Salt was paired with Certified Organic Coconut Oil, and nine other essential oils to give a more abrasive exfoliating experience and a diabetic alternative. 

The newest edition to the Organic Fiji range is our Certified Organic Lip Balm. Unlike many lip balms on the market, ours is Certified Organic by the USDA. USDA and Oregon Tilth continue to certify many of our products as Organic. 

Organic Fiji products are now made in the USA. After production quality decreased in Fiji, and the question of our carbon footprint when shipping the products back and forth was questioned, it was decided that we would use the same ingredients and age old methods to create the products, but somewhere a little closer to home. We felt this was the best environmental choice, which would then directly advantage our customers. We continue to use the coconuts from the pacific islands, supporting the people of these island communities. Organic Fiji takes pride in the quality of their products, and will always remain devoted to producing consistently high quality results.
